Role Summary
This position is a technical, customer-facing role accountable for the end-to-end customer pre-sales to deployment experience, including Project Delivery and Presales. The CSA is a technical, customer-facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience. CA’s own the Azure technical customer engagement including assessments, RFP responses, architectural design sessions, estimations, specific implementation projects and/or proofs-of-concept, and deployment. The ideal candidate has experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture and application design discussions with senior customer executives. Prior experience in consultative technical sales, design, and deployment of projects is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Transformation Technical Leadership: Demonstrate how customers can enable digital transformation. Success leading deep technical architecture and application design discussions with senior customer executives and IT Decision Makers (ITDMs). Capability to lead end to end the customer’s technical current and future state with clear mapping to business value per industry capability mapping.
- Delivery Leadership & Management: Hands-on deliver and manage the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring accountability for the customer cloud deployment experience in cloud or across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments in partnership with PMO. Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through.
- Growth & Consultative Selling: Accountable for driving new opportunities on workloads in partnership with Sales\Partners. Drive customer\partner initiatives owning solution offerings\IPs and commercials in Digital Apps and Data Analytics with a specific focus on AI.
- Strategic Relationship & Professional Skills: Proven track record building deep technical relationships with tech partners, senior executives and growing consumption share in territory. Strong problem-solving mentality, leveraging internal and/or external resources.
- Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of comfort presenting to both large and small audiences.
Technical Skills
- Core Cloud Infrastructure: Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, virtualization, storage, networking, and governance technologies for cost management. Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Azure IaaS/PaaS/SaaS Services.
- Application Development: Technical expertise in Cloud Development approaches including Containers, Microservices, and Serverless computing. Experience with AGILE, SCRUM, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Data & AI: Deep technical focus on Data Analytics, GenAI, and AI/ML Solutions. Understanding of common database technologies such as SQL Database/Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
- DevOps & Automation: Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices, including automation, CI/CD methodologies, and integration services.
- Security & Governance: Deep technical experience in enterprise mobile, identity, access control, and security solutions, as well as Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery practices.
Required Qualifications
- Education: A computer science or related engineering degree is required.
- Experience: x or more years of architecture, design implementation, and/or support of distributed applications designed to run in the cloud or across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Background: Prior work experience in a consulting/architecture position within a services company, with specific experience in Azure Cloud Native Apps, Data & AI pre-sales and delivery.
